North Carolina is considering legislation that would allow local law enforcement to monitor how vehicles travel on the roadways. This bill has already passed in the state house by a vote of 79 - 36. However it has been taken off the calendar for now and has been re-referred to the Senate Committee on Rules and Operations of the Senate. North Carolinians, please contact your state senators and encourage them to vote "No" on House Bill 348.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation sued the IRS for not enforcing restrictions against churches for speaking about political matters. Churches have been using their freedom to speak on Pulpit Freedom Sunday. The IRS has agreed to monitor sermons preached in churches to see if they are violating their tax exempt status. This is a matter of earnest prayer.
"The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James 5:16b)
