When it seems like we are in difficult straits and something needs to be done to remedy a problem, it is often easy to make a hasty decision and go with what seems like the most workable solution. But have we thought it through first? Have we investigated the matter to see if what we plan to do is the right way to solve our problem? The Bible gives wise advice about making hasty decisions. It says, “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.” (Proverbs 21:5)
