When God comes to judge the earth and to pour out His wrath on Babylon, He will have mercy on Jacob (Israel) and will choose them and will set them back in their own land, along with strangers (people from other nations) that cleave to them. Isaiah 14:1 says, “For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.”
Among these strangers that cleave to the house of Jacob, it appears that there will be a remnant that comes out of Babylon. (See Isaiah 19:24,25) In the book of Revelation John tells us, “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4) In this passage, God is calling His own to come out of Babylon before He pours out His wrath upon it and destroys it. When the redeemed stand before the throne of God, there will be some from “every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.” (See Revelation 5:9). Even in Babylon, there will be people that fear God and believe on Him.
Those from enemy nations who come out with Israel will serve Israel. “And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.” (Isaiah 14:2) However, these people will serve gladly because “it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve.” (Isaiah 14:3) There will be rest in Israel and peace, and those who came out of the nations to stand with Israel will live in that land of rest and peace with them.
A great day is coming for Israel, a wonderful day, a day of peace and rest and prosperity.
